Welcome to the website of the 19th FAI European Gliding Championships
Please be aware that all trains from Alton and Basingstoke arrive in London at Waterloo Station. There is extensive maintenance work taking place at Waterloo Station for the next 3 weeks. Expect long queues and delays. We would recommend you avoid using Waterloo Station during the morning and evening commuter rush
It's raining now and the forecast is very poor for soaring. We will not set tasks today as we don't think it will be possible to fly till early evening.
There is good news though - we expect to fly tomorrow.
Briefing this morning will be at 10am in the Brown Elephant. Attendance is not mandatory - we will cover the weather and administrative matters.
Please remember the MANDATORY Airspace Briefing at 19:00 today Wednesday 9th August in the Brown Elephant.
The registration office opens at 10am.
As I write this, no doubt many of you are preparing for the upcoming competition.
We hope your preparations go well and we look forward to meeting you all at Lasham next week.
